Cooper River Bridge Run! The 37th annual event is set for April 5th
Registration is underway for the 2014 Cooper River Bridge Run! The 37th annual event is set for April 5th, and organizers promise another year you won’t forget.
It’s $40 through February 15, and $45 through the close of registration. Online registration ends on April 2nd at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The Expo will be open at the Charleston Area Convention Center (5001 Coliseum Drive in North Charleston) on Thursday, April 3 from 12 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, April 4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you need help with registration, contact customer support at (877) 228-4881. This year’s event will be capped at 38,500, with 1,500 $150 charity connection bibs. For other questions and concerns, click here.
Now that you know all about the Cooper River Bridge Run, let’s talk about the Kids Run and Wonderfest on Friday, April 4th! All the fun will kick off in Hampton Park in Charleston on the afternoon before the big run. Kids will participate in events ranging from short distances up to a mile. There will be food, drinks, entertainers and musical acts! The Kids Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with face paining, mask making, a jump castle and slide, caricatures and much, much, more!
The vision of the race is to broaden community cooperation and participation in healthy events all throughout the year, serving as a model of health and motivation. There are several objectives, which are to increase interest in cardiovascular exercise, raise funds for public education on the importance of exercise, generate a sprit of community involvement and volunteerism, and of course, promote and publicize the Cooper River Bridge Run
