Things To Do In Charleston This Weekend

Posted By steve smith @ Jan 27th 2016 10:00am In: Charleston Tourism

Since there are no football games this weekend everyone is trying to figure out how to spend their time in Charleston.  The weather is forecasted to be spectacular, so here are a few things to check out:

The annual lowcountry Oyster Festival at Boone Hall Plantation is on Sunday.  It is billed as the world's largest oyster festival and has been named as one of the top 20 annual events in the Southeast!   Aside from the oyster shucking, there is live music on stage, wines, lots of beer, a food court for you non-oyster eating types and lots of things for the kids to do.  Click here for more details.

Now here is an interesting thing to do-- The 5th Annual Charleston Food Truck Rodeo is on Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm at 1630 Meeting Street in the City.  There are over 18 food trucks registered, 3 bands and lots of folks.   Last year many of the food trucks sold out early, so get there early!
